Job Summary
Community Manager for a full-time role at Independent Management Services overseeing day-to-day operations of an affordable/multi-family community in Kalamazoo, including occupancy, leasing, move-in/out, resident income verification, inspections, maintenance coordination, vendor/contractor management, accounts receivable, and ensuring a clean, safe, well-maintained property. Responsibilities include enforcing community rules, rent collections, supervising on-site staff, training and evaluating personnel, and reporting to the Regional Property Manager. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, and experience with Tax Credit Compliance, HUD Section 8, REAC/MOR, and property-management software (Paycom, RealPage OneSite).
Required Qualifications
- Leasing, sales, and customer service experience desired
- Sales-minded with attention to detail
- Experience with Tax Credit Compliance, EIV, and HUD Section 8 subsidy programs
- Knowledge of REAC and MOR compliance
- Paycom software and Microsoft Office suite preferred
- Experience with RealPage OneSite preferred
- Experience managing residential communities (subsidized housing preferred)
- Must adhere to Federal Fair Housing Laws
