Job Summary
Community Manager needed for Flats on Waters Edge, a 156-unit apartment community in Hermitage, TN. Oversees day-to-day property operations, occupancy/collections, resident relations, budgets, vendor contracts, and compliance; conducts orientation and training for staff; leads performance reviews and staffing decisions; manages rent collection, move-ins/outs, and move-out charges; coordinates with residents and corporate staff; collaborates with Human Resources; ensures property presents well and adheres to company policies and housing program requirements (Section 8, Vouchers, Section 236, Section 42, Bonds, 4D, etc.); supports marketing collaboration, safety and audits; uses Yardi and MS Office tools; requires experience in multifamily property management and knowledge of affordable housing programs; emphasizes leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree (4-year degree preferred) in a related field or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- Three years of multifamily property management experience required; tax credit experience preferred
- Accounting and administrative background preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Yardi experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) and ability to speak in front of groups of people
- Must be reliable and have exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to think independently, work with minimal supervision, and coach, mentor and manage others
