Job Summary
Conduct overall fiscal accountability, marketing, development, and regulatory compliance for assigned tax credit or Section 8 communities. Supervise onsite staff by overseeing hiring, staffing, wage reporting, and performance evaluations while managing accounts receivable, collections, and leasing. Complete all move ins, outs, and re-certifications required by HUD and NHE guidelines, ensuring adherence to Fair Housing Laws and specific program regulations. Interpret IRS Section 42 and HUD rules to recommend compliance changes and coordinate with third-party inspections from housing authorities. Manage property maintenance programs by responding promptly to resident requests and ensuring work meets established standards. Work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or two years of successful working experience in the apartment management industry
- extensive customer service and leasing/marketing
- training or experience in basic computer use, including common applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- experience with web-based software used in apartment management (Yardi Voyager)
- Must have a valid driver's license or means of immediate transportation to attend meetings, events and daily activities
