Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of a conventional multi-family apartment community, ensuring the property remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming. Lead, mentor, and supervise on-site staff while managing the leasing process, including marketing units, conducting tours, and executing leases. Conduct regular interior and exterior inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Administer resident programs, handle concerns and complaints, and oversee renovations within budget. Manage financial performance by creating budgets, preparing monthly reports, and submitting annual operating budgets for review. Maintain records for all resident transactions, including move-ins, move-outs, and rent collections. Drive business purposes such as bank deposits, community supplies, and competitive analysis of neighboring communities.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in property management, specifically in supervising and managing affordable apartment communities
- Experience with affordable properties, HUD, Low Income Tax Credit (LIHTC), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Section 8, Senior, Rural Development
- hands-on experience in overseeing the daily operations of a multi-family apartment community
- strong leadership skills
- strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and rent collections specific to apartment communities
- proficiency with property management software, such as Yardi and/or MRI, particularly in managing apartment records and financials
- excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to effectively engage with residents, staff, and vendors
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing operations
- physically able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
- valid driver's license
- proof of automobile liability insurance
