Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of an affordable multi-family apartment community at Beyer Courtyards, ensuring the property remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming. Lead, mentor, and supervise on-site staff while managing the leasing process, including marketing units, conducting tours, and processing applications. Conduct regular interior and exterior inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards, and oversee renovations to stay within budget. Administer resident programs, handle complaints professionally, and maintain records for all resident transactions. Prepare and submit annual operating budgets, conduct quarterly reviews, and monitor expenditures to ensure financial performance. Drive business purposes such as bank deposits, community supplies, and competitive analysis. This full-time role includes a two-bedroom unit and requires experience with LIHTC, Section 8, and property management software like Yardi or MRI.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in property management, specifically in supervising and managing affordable apartment communities
- Experience with affordable properties, Low Income Tax Credit (LIHTC), and Section 8
- hands-on experience in overseeing the daily operations of a multi-family apartment community
- strong leadership skills
- strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and rent collections specific to apartment communities
- proficiency with property management software, such as Yardi and/or MRI, particularly in managing apartment records and financials
- excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to effectively engage with residents, staff, and vendors
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing operations
- physically able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
- valid driver's license
- proof of automobile liability insurance
