Job Summary
The Community Manager oversees all on-site property operations, ensuring compliance with housing standards and federal programs, while maintaining property assets and team performance. Responsibilities include team management, leasing applications, financial transactions, and maintenance oversight.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years prior site management or apartment management housing experience, preferably in affordable housing.
- Compliance experience or knowledge (LIHTC, HUD-Sec. 8, RD, others) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 1+ years of team supervision experience, including training and performance management skills.
- Demonstrated prior customer service or sales experience is a plus.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for effective communications.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Accounting experience with budgeting, accounts receivable & payables, and variance analysis strongly preferred.
- Yardi Voyager experience desired or other accounting or housing software programs a plus.
- Certifications Preferred or willing to obtain: Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit), S.T.A.R. Training, Others pertinent to the affordable housing industry.
