Job Summary
Provide teaching, monitoring, and recovery-oriented supports including assertiveness training, medication management, and daily living skills. Assist the Medication Coordinator with supervising resident medications and maintain accurate documentation in resident files. Monitor the program by completing rounds at least four times per shift, ensuring safety, enforcing visitor hours, and intervening in disputes. Coordinate recreational activities, help with resident room upkeep, and provide safe transportation when needed. Communicate resident status updates to the Residential Services Coordinator, supervisor, or providers as required. Attend staff meetings and trainings while contributing input to treatment team meetings and Continued Stayed Reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED
- Ability to demonstrate verbal and written skills necessary to carry out services for the success of the program
- Valid New York State driver's license that meets qualifications set by agency's clean driver record policy
- Must be at least Eighteen (18) years of age
Desired Qualifications
- At least one-year of experience in a residential setting working with people in various stages of recovery from mental illness
