Job Summary
Lead Community Living initiatives by guiding and supervising staff, developing engaging living environments, and implementing person-centered service plans. Responsible for staff scheduling, conducting weekly meetings, overseeing training and support, and ensuring safety and compliance. Requires BA/BS in Human Services (preferred) and/or 2 years’ experience; valid driver’s license; ability to coordinate assessments, health needs, and program reports; and capacity to work with children and adults with emotional, intellectual, or behavioral needs in a residential/human-services setting. Includes day/evening hours and every other weekend; emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and strong communication; physical duties include indoor/outdoor maintenance and assisting with activities. PayType: Hourly, with min/max rates $17.80-$22.80 per hour.
Desired Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Human Services field preferred
- 2 years' experience in Human Services preferred
- Ability to pass required medication administration course
- Possess a valid driver’s license and Iowa type “C” license or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work with children with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and behavior concerns as per individual plans
- Clearance from all applicable background checks as required by service standards
