Job Summary
Lead Community Living teams to create a warm, engaging environment and support clients and families. Responsibilities include developing schedules, supervising and evaluating staff, conducting weekly staff meetings, assisting with program development and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, coordinating client orientation and assessments, providing support per individual service plans, ensuring health and safety, promoting positive communication, and being on-call for emergencies. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid Iowa driver’s license, medication administration training, background checks, and ability to work with individuals with varying needs in a residential setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer literate or basic computer skills
- Ability to make sound decisions in staff and programming matters
- Ability to pass required medication administration course
- Valid driver’s license and Iowa type C license or equivalent
- Be insurable driver with company insurance
- Ability to pass health assessment at time of hire and maintain as requested
- Background checks as required by service standards
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of state minimum automobile insurance
- Ability to work with children and individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and behavior concerns as per individual plans
