Job Summary
Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in homes and community settings, teaching essential independent living skills such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks. Assist participants with community integration activities including shopping, appointments, and public transportation training while monitoring safety and implementing behavior support strategies. Complete daily service notes, incident reports, and progress updates, communicating regularly with supervisors and families. Adhere to all agency policies, confidentiality standards, and state regulations while attending required trainings and team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Negative TB test
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment)
- Genuine passion for caregiving and supporting individuals with disabilities
