Job Summary
Coordinate with network providers and community stakeholders to identify resources and implement community-building strategies for youth and family support. Educate local groups about Belong services while maintaining close relationships with agencies such as CASA, Commissioners Court, and Child Advocacy Centers. Facilitate community events, organize resource coordination efforts, and assist the Regional Director with plan implementation and annual reviews. Provide services after normal hours and on weekends as needed to meet identified client needs. Maintain knowledge of child and family wellbeing systems while promoting cultural diversity and ethical behavior within the Belong Network.
Required Qualifications
- Reside within Gonzales, La Vaca, DeWitt County or the direct surrounding areas
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Child Welfare, Social Services or related field
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- 3 years' experience in child welfare and community engagement
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Ability to provide own transportation
- Proof of current automobile insurance
- Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and walk
- Stamina to work long days and drive long distances
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 15 pounds
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Dexterity to remain calm and adapt to fast paced and emotional environments consisting of children with moderate to severe emotional and psychological needs
- Position assigned to Regional Director
- Scheduled for a minimum of 40 hours per week
