Job Summary

Solicit first mortgage loans with a focus on first-time home buyers and low-moderate income transactions, while informing clients of underwriting guidelines and government regulations. Assist applicants in completing applications and disclosures, then enter data into the Bank's operating system and order credit reports as needed. Personally answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide consistent follow-up with borrowers and real estate agents to complete processing. Communicate complex approvals or denials to borrowers and agents, respond to inquiries regarding loan status, and distribute approved marketing materials to generate loans. Actively participate in local Fair Lending and Community Reinvestment Act development activities as directed, ensuring regulatory compliance with all relevant real estate and mortgage laws.

Required Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years of experience in related mortgage or similar sales experience or equivalent
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Thorough working knowledge of real estate documentation, policies, compliance, and procedures
  • High level of proficiency with mortgage loan processing and underwriting systems
  • Position requires flexibility and willingness to travel to other locations
  • The successful candidate will be required to prove on the first day of work that they are legally authorized to work in the U.S.
