Job Summary
Develop and implement a robust community and partnership strategy aligned with Baraza Media Lab's vision, overseeing scalable recruitment for diverse media practitioners. Design membership offerings across all hubs while managing applications, renewals, and CRM data to ensure consistent engagement. Lead planning for member engagement initiatives and co-create events with the Curator, serving as the primary liaison between the Lab and its community. Mentor regional community teams, coordinate cross-office best practices, and oversee strategic partnerships that enhance community value. Gather insights from members to inform programming and highlight success stories through collaboration with the communications team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, Creative Industries, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in community management, media, creative industries, or ecosystem building
- Proven success in developing and sustaining vibrant communities of media practitioners, technologists, or creatives
- Experience working within innovation hubs, media labs, or similar collaborative spaces
- Demonstrated ability to establish and manage strategic partnerships at regional or national levels
- Experience organizing and facilitating events, workshops, or community engagement initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Strong strategic thinking with experience developing community and partnership strategies
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor regional community teams or associates
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Familiarity with CRM tools, community engagement platforms, or project management software
- Ability to analyze community needs, gather insights, and adapt programs accordingly
