Job Summary
Meet with medical school applicants during the September to March interview season to assess their ability to provide care to the Lehigh Valley community. Conduct semi-structured small group interviews with up to four applicants monthly and complete online interview evaluations providing feedback on each student. Finish admissions training prior to the season and attend an in-person admissions retreat at the Temple/St. Luke's School of Medicine in September. Use a computer, keyboard, and mouse to manage evaluations and communicate effectively with applicants and staff via virtual platforms.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and mouse to complete online interview evaluations
- Ability to attend in-person meetings and training sessions
- Ability to lift or carry light materials (e.g. laptop, folders, or documents)
- Ability to hear and understand spoken conversations in individual and small-group interview settings, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to communicate effectively with applicants and admissions staff in person and through virtual platforms
- Ability to read printed and electronic documents, including applicant materials and evaluation forms
- Ability to maintain attention, concentration, and observation during interviews to accurately assess applicants
- Previous interviewing experience
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in higher education, healthcare, or community service
- Experience with using the Zoom Platform and troubleshooting challenges that might arise during a meeting
