Job Summary

Attend referral staffing to facilitate move-ins and intake, entering data into tracking systems and coordinating building needs. Provide regular onsite support for residents and staff, offering referrals to community resources while utilizing trauma-informed de-escalation techniques. Serve as a liaison for supportive housing buildings by collaborating with property management and contracted service agencies to promote tenant stabilization and eviction prevention. Support building teams in addressing tenant concerns early, advocate for client needs, and coordinate staffing for struggling tenants. This role divides time between direct program oversight of West Haven and liaison duties across several permanent supportive housing buildings. Up to 70% of travel within the community is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
  • Current Wisconsin Driver's License and access to a reliable insured vehicle
  • Must be able to travel extensively within the community
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work or a Human Services related field from an approved college or university
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with the homelessness population in the supportive housing field, human services, or related experience
  • At least intermediate experience with computer and software applications such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of housing programs and opportunities as they relate to homelessness and individuals/families facing eviction
  • Knowledge of available housing resources; referrals and knowledge of the permanent supportive housing model
  • Knowledge of landlord evictions
  • Ability to work with individuals with a wide range of housing prevention need
  • Ability to manage county funds that can be used for qualifying individuals
  • Up to 70% of travel within the community is required for this position
