Job Summary
Community Integration Language Facilitator provides proficient language interpretation to support participants in community-based activities and employment. Responsible for facilitating clear two-way communication during face-to-face interactions, accompanying participants to activities or workplaces, and advocating for inclusive practices while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Requires cultural sensitivity to interpret nuances, ensure participant understanding, and support accessibility to resources and opportunities within the community. Per diem role in Newark, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Complete State/Federal Criminal Background checks
- Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI) checks
- Central Registry checks
- Proficient in reading and speaking the language being interpreted OR Sign language interpretation – New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DDHH) Screening OR Certified by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (NRID)
