Job Summary
Community Integration Counselors assist individuals with learning physical, intellectual, emotional, and social life skills, providing tailored support for their community integration efforts. Responsibilities include meeting waiver participants regularly, collaborating with case managers, documenting progress, and ensuring proper medical and leisure activities. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and at least 2 years of experience with individuals with disabilities, alongside strong communication and time management skills. This part-time role offers starting pay of $17.00 per hour and potential additional benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
