Job Summary
Develop and nurture relationships with businesses, healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies to promote heart health and drive policy, systems, and environmental changes. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and strategic community alliances to implement programs supporting blood pressure management, nutrition education, and physical activity. Coordinate community health education initiatives, public awareness campaigns, and sponsorship efforts while tracking performance metrics to evaluate program success. Represent the organization at community gatherings and forums, applying marketing insights to develop strategies for improving community health outcomes. Requires 3 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and daily travel of approximately 25%.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant experience with community/public health issues and/or managing community/public health promotion, or related educational programs, or other related experience
- Proven ability to recruit, mobilize and manage volunteers, including C-suite level executives
- Effective relationship management, with the ability to gain trust and influence without authority
- Self-starter who works well in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to drive toward results
- Proven ability to apply marketing insights to develop appropriate strategies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel daily approximately 25% with some overnight travel; requires access to reliable transportation at all times
- Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components, or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Public Health, Marketing, urban policy analysis, healthcare marketing/sales, business management or other related fields
