Job Summary
Coordinate Circuit-19 domestic violence task force efforts, including meeting planning, partner engagement, and action tracking. Build strategic relationships with law enforcement, courts, healthcare systems, schools, local governments, and nonprofit providers across St. Lucie, Indian River, and Martin counties. Develop and deliver trainings for community partners and professional audiences while monitoring regional trends to inform public policy recommendations on prevention, intervention, and survivor safety. Represent SafeSpace in community meetings, coalitions, and public awareness activities to strengthen awareness, referrals, and volunteer engagement. Track outreach activity and partnership development to support reporting and strategic planning. Travel regularly throughout the service region for events and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, criminal justice, public health, nonprofit leadership, communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, victim services, systems coordination, advocacy, training, coalition work, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience building relationships with multiple stakeholders and navigating cross-sector partnerships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, facilitation, and professional follow-up
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong organization and follow-through
- Commitment to survivor-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must pass Level 2 background screening
- Must be able to manage and transport occasional lifting of mail/event materials (reasonable accommodation available)
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must successfully complete CORE Competency training provided by the agency within 90 days of employment
- Must participate in ongoing mandatory education and skills training on relevant topics as required by statutory funding, certification of the agency or personnel, or as identified to improve employee performance
- Must maintain annual training requirements outlined in the employee manual
- Must be available for participation in occasional early morning, evening and weekend community events
- Must be able to represent SafeSpace in professional and public settings
- Must be able to talk and hear while performing the duties of the job
- Must be able to sit at a desk, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch
- Must be able to work in both inside and outside environments
- Must be able to regularly travel throughout the service region
Desired Qualifications
- Experience related to domestic violence, sexual violence, victim advocacy, homelessness, housing, human services, or community justice systems
- Knowledge of the Treasure Coast region and experience working across multiple counties or jurisdictions
- Experience with task forces, advisory groups, policy development, or systems-change initiatives
- Bilingual or multilingual skills that support community engagement
