Job Summary
Supervise 8-15 group home staff, conduct interviews for hiring, and manage daily operations for developmentally disabled adults in a 24-hour residential setting. Monitor staff work, coordinate meetings, and ensure compliance with licensing standards, DDD policies, and Archway quality assurance procedures. Maintain Individual Habilitation Plans, oversee food budgets, and serve as liaison to parents, doctors, and external agencies while keeping clients safe. Work 35% sitting, 35% standing, and 30% other physical activity with occasional travel for appointments. On-call 24 hours when assigned.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- one year- residential or health care
- one year working with developmentally disabled
- valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
- Clean driving record
- CPR, FA, DDD Pre-service
- Certification of pre-employment physical and Mantoux test
- familiar with Licensing Standards, behavior modification and NJ DDD Policy and Procedure
- Knowledge of Archway Quality Assurance Policy and Procedure
- Knowledge of Human Resource/Employee Relation Issues
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs
- Must be able to carry 15 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 15 lbs
- Must be able to reach 55 lbs
- Must be able to sit 35% of the time
- Must be able to stand 35% of the time
- Must be able to speak 25% of the time

- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to assist consumers in walking, wheelchair handling, and bathing
- Must be able to handle consumers who may become verbally or physically abusive
- Must be able to handle driving hazards
- Must be able to handle normal household hazards
- Must be able to handle normal house, community and office environments
- Must be able to travel for Doctor's appointments, shopping, workshops, and occasional trips
