Job Summary
Implement the College's philosophy and curriculum objectives through clinical teaching and service to the community and health system. Plan clinical experiences, provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care, and offer documented feedback based on course objectives. Manage autonomous teaching assignments, develop written clinical assignments, and grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork. Orient students to agency policies and procedures while keeping the course coordinator informed of all issues. May teach didactic course content under supervision. Schedule includes one day per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for an 8-week session. Compensation ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment based on education, experience, and other factors.
Required Qualifications
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- An unencumbered professional nursing license
- At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites
