Job Summary
Community Health Outreach Coordinator (CHOC) role combining mobile health operations and research responsibilities. Primary duties include driving the 26–38 ft Mobile Health Units (MPC), serving as fleet manager for program vehicles, providing health engagement and linkage to care for infectious disease (primarily HIV treatment/prevention) and substance use disorders, conducting health screenings, and identifying community needs to connect individuals with healthcare, treatment, and social services. Responsibilities also include research activities such as recruitment, informed consent, interviews for study assessments, and data collection/entry (including biological specimens like urine and blood). The position requires late nights/evenings and weekends, and emphasizes coordination of follow-up appointments, benefit applications, and data management using tools like REDCap. Preferred qualifications include CDL certification and bilingual ability (Spanish/English). Two years of related work experience and a Bachelor's degree are required.
