Job Summary
Teach eight courses annually, including didactic, clinical, and lab skills, while mentoring students outside the classroom. Dedicate 15% of your time to citizenship duties such as serving on college councils, attending monthly faculty meetings, and promoting collegiality. Allocate the remaining 15% to scholarship work, engaging in quality improvement projects and disseminating findings through peer-reviewed venues. This professional track faculty position requires a Master of Science in Nursing and five years of community or global health nursing experience. The role involves relocating to Utah and includes teaching abroad for three to four weeks during the spring term.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science (MS) in Nursing
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred, even if the applicant does not hold an MS degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in community and/or global health nursing
- 1 year experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Experience teaching at the baccalaureate or graduate level
- Utah license as either a Registered Nurse or an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment
- Current temple recommend
- Membership in good standing of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
