Job Summary
The Community Health Aide IV and Practitioner provide acute, chronic, emergency, and preventive medical health care to Village residents under the direction of medical doctors. The position requires adherence to the CHA/P Manual and involves progressively responsible work experience across five levels. The CHA IV requires completion of CHA training and certification, while the Practitioner role necessitates current certification by legal standards. Employees must comply with health screening and immunization requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of the cultures and needs of Alaska Native people
- Compliance with Employee Health Procedure including necessary immunizations
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification as a Practitioner by the CHA Program Certification Board (CHAPCB)
- Successful completion of the Session IV of CHA training program with a passing grade of 80 percent or better
