Job Summary
Morning shift role providing community-based habilitation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include teaching daily living skills, facilitating community outings, acting as a role model and mentor to residents and teammates, assisting with appointments, recreation, and personal care when needed, maintaining timely documentation, creating a safe and uplifting environment, and transporting individuals to activities in agency vehicles. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid NYS driver’s license, willingness to engage with participants, strong communication and teamwork, and ability to lift up to 70 lbs; certifications such as AMAP, CPR, First Aid, and PROMOTE are encouraged. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college coursework or DSP certifications are a bonus!)
- Valid NYS driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to maintain certifications like AMAP, CPR, First Aid, and PROMOTE.
