Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one assistance and assessment for persons with special needs, developing tailored life plans to enhance independent living skills. Observe skill development, attitudes, and relationships while reviewing case histories and consulting with staff. Support individuals in navigating programs by identifying learning incentives and engaging caregivers in change-oriented treatment using Brief Family Systems Therapy and Parental Management Training. Develop valued outcomes based on observed strengths and community supports. Meet assigned children or adolescents one to two times weekly, traveling to boroughs as needed. Document training sessions in databases, report progress and barriers, and attend required supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or higher
- High School / G.E.D.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
- Must be able to travel to borough assigned
- Must be available for 1-2 times per week depending on the child/adolescent coordinated hours
- Must know and protect individual's rights
