Job Summary
Conduct direct support with individuals with developmental and learning disabilities to foster independence and community thriving. Deliver services including community integration, transportation, money management, socialization, healthy lifestyle skills, and medical appointment coordination. Provide additional instruction and supports as directed by your supervisor while working within an interdisciplinary team. Maintain good time management and utilize various software programs. Successful completion of First Aid, CPR, and Defensive Driving is required upon hire. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule of 10 hours per week, including afternoons and early evenings, with mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use throughout Erie County.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Driver's License in good standing
- Use of personal vehicle for transporting individuals receiving services
- Moderate level of written and oral communication skills
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of behavioral techniques and developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of computer and ability to utilize various software programs
- Successful completion of First Aid, CPR, and Defensive Driving upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- One year pertinent experience in health and human service related field
- Experience with individuals with disabilities
