Job Summary
Mow and trim grass, weed paths and beds, and gather trash weekly to maintain garden tidiness. Water greenhouse beds, fruit trees, and communal plots; open and close the greenhouse for temperature control; and assist with planting, trimming, harvesting, and mixing compost every 1-3 weeks. Support garden events by setting up, hosting, and cleaning up, including the on-campus produce stand, and serve as a point person for gardeners when the coordinator is away. Alert the coordinator when the fire pit needs firewood. Work 8-10 hours weekly outdoors in all seasons, pushing or carrying heavy loads, as a current Asbury Seminary student committed to the seminary's mission.
Required Qualifications
- A current student of Asbury Theological Seminary
- Able and willing to work 8-10 hours weekly
- Willing to work outdoors in the heat of summer and the cold of winter
- Able to occasionally push or carry heavy loads
- Committed to the mission statements of Asbury Seminary and the community garden

- Experience in farming or gardening
