Job Summary
Community Field Coordinator (CFC) will support school-wide community outreach and partnerships, develop a marketing plan for school communications, establish formal/informal partnerships with community and corporate agencies, coordinate culturally diverse events, and advocate for parent/family involvement. The role emphasizes building partnerships with families and community organizations, coordinating events and dialogues, and identifying resources and speakers to support students, with a contractual hourly arrangement in Boston Public Schools. The position requires high school graduation or GED, 48 college credits or an associate degree (or equivalent standardized assessments), strong interpersonal/communication skills, experience with urban/community partnerships, and authorization to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree, computer literacy, fundraising/grant writing experience, urban-school experience, and multilingual abilities (Spanish, Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Somali).
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Forty-eight (48) Credit Hours of College Coursework or an Associate's Degree, or a passing score on ParaPro Assessment or WorkKeys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated success in establishing community partnerships and networks
- Experience working with young people
- Demonstrated experience working with community-based organizations, particularly those that work with migrants and immigrant families
- Sensitivity to student cultural and special needs
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Current authorization to work in the United States
