Job Summary
Greet visitors, direct them to appropriate areas, and manage incoming phone calls with a professional, courteous demeanor. Handle clerical duties including mail sorting, typing correspondence, and coordinating front desk activities while maintaining a neat environment. Sell meal tickets, track guest meals, and reconcile cash boxes daily for postage, reservations, and miscellaneous activities. Conduct tours in the absence of management and assist residents with community computers. Respond to emergency situations by contacting appropriate authorities and attend required in-service trainings. Work every other weekend mornings and weekday evenings.
Required Qualifications
- Prior reception experience in an office environment
- Previous customer service experience
- Typing or word processing experience
- Knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques
- Ability to handle all incoming phone calls and visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner
- Ability to provide clerical support
- Ability to represent the residence in a professional manner
- Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make confident ethical decisions
- Ability to effectively manage time in order to complete multiple tasks
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- Ability to lift, bend, stretch, and stoop
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Every Other Weekend 8am-4pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Evenings 4pm-8pm
- Additional hours may be available throughout the week to cover vacations and/or call-offs
