Job Summary
Own the end-to-end planning and execution of all community events within your assigned region, managing broker engagement sessions and large-scale gatherings from concept through post-event analysis. Exercise independent authority over venue selection, logistics, and vendor decisions while strictly adhering to CMS Medicare marketing regulations and Anti-Kickback Statute requirements. Hold full ownership of the regional event budget, allocating funds, negotiating cost-sharing arrangements with partners, and authorizing expenditures without prior approval. Maintain accurate CRM data, track regional performance metrics, and deliver compliance reports to the Manager. Travel frequently across the market, up to 75%, to support event setup and beneficiary outreach.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel across the assigned regional market
- Ability to travel frequently within assigned markets, up to 75%
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage in event setup and execution activities
- Ability to lift and carry event materials (up to 25 pounds) as needed
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain reliable transportation to travel between assigned locations as required by the role
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedules
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, community outreach, or marketing
- Demonstrated ability to own and manage a budget, allocating resources, tracking spend, and making independent financial decisions within an assigned area
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple concurrent events and competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- High degree of organizational skill, attention to detail, and self-direction
- Demonstrated ability to handle data and sensitive information with confidentiality
- Working knowledge of CMS Medicare marketing regulations (42 CFR Part 422/423 Subpart V), Anti-Kickback Statute requirements, and CMS event-type rules
- Willingness to develop and maintain this knowledge
- Experience working with insurance brokers or licensed sales agents
- Understanding of CMS broker compensation rules
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, HubSpot)
- Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) for real-time collaboration
