Community & Events Lead

Job Summary
As our first Events & Community hire, you will design event marketing strategy, create and run your own events, identify priority conferences/tradeshows, and develop messaging for event days. You’ll organize private client events (dinners, fireside chats, speaker events, hackathons), build relationships with event organizers to feature senior Junior stakeholders, own on-site logistics with support from office managers, contribute to our content engine with case studies and thought leadership, and design and execute our Community strategy to drive engagement with our core user base. You should have 3+ years in event marketing or community roles, strong experience in B2B SaaS marketing, a proven track record of events that drive brand awareness and pipeline, and excellent cross-functional collaboration, executive presence, ownership, and a tinkerer’s mindset with GenAI. Content creation skills for executive briefings and technical documentation are also important.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in event marketing or community roles
- Experience in B2B SaaS marketing
- Proven track record of planning and executing events/conferences that drive brand awareness and sales pipeline
- Proven track record of building and nurturing strong and loyal communities
- Cross-functional collaboration and project management skills in start-up environments
- Executive presence - comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
- Owner mindset - thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Tinkerer’s mindset - experiments with LLMs + AI tools
- Content creation expertise - writing executive briefings to technical documentation
