Job Summary
Engage with emerging culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities to provide information, advocacy, and support around domestic and family violence. Collaborate with Link Wentworth Housing and local community organisations to strengthen partnerships and improve outcomes for residents. Contribute to the development, delivery, and evaluation of community programs that respond to the needs of women, children, and families experiencing violence, including supporting grant applications and coordinating activities. Ensure funded initiatives are delivered effectively to achieve meaningful results for participants and the broader community.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications/training in domestic and family violence (DFV)
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with emerging communities
- Understanding of the housing issues facing women and children experiencing/escaping DFV
- Demonstrated understanding of the cultural impacts of DFV on women and children from CALD and emerging communities
- Ability to connect with/support members of CALD and other emerging communities
- Knowledge of the community service and SHS sector
- Being female
- A commitment to the ethos of social and affordable housing
- A commitment to social justice, social inclusion and trauma informed support
- A commitment to Link Wentworth's values of Customer Focus, Respect, Integrity, Compassion & Ambition
- A compliant NDIS Worker Screening Check to the satisfaction of Link Wentworth
- A valid National Police Check (less than six (6) months old) to the satisfaction of Link Wentworth, to be renewed every five (5) years or more frequently as reasonably required by Link Wentworth
- Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements imposed by Link Wentworth, including COVID-19 and other vaccinations, as determined by the organisation in accordance with current Government health advice, mandates, or directions
- Willingness to travel between Link Wentworth offices in metropolitan Sydney
- Access to a registered and roadworthy vehicle
- A current driver's licence valid in the state of NSW
- A current NSW Working with Children's Check
- You will have: Being female is a genuine requirement of this position in accordance with Division 2 Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977

- Experience in program development, grant writing, project coordination or community engagement is highly regarded
- Lived experience is welcomed and valued
