Job Summary
Execute recruiting strategies to increase Girl Scouts awareness and participation through school events, community gatherings, and unique organizations. Follow up with potential members to connect them to existing troops or start new ones while cultivating relationships with community leaders and businesses. Plan and execute diverse recruitment events such as open houses, library programs, and educational fairs. Utilize the customer relationship management system to track leads and prepare status reports on activity, follow-up, and goal adherence. Drive council membership growth by presenting solutions that resonate with potential members and ensuring pluralism and diversity in outreach. Requires 65% travel across Spokane and Stevens County, with some weekend and evening hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance
- Willingness to work weekend and evening hours
- Regular evening and weekend work hours
- Must be 21 or older
- Willingness to subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout movement, including acceptance of the Girl Scout philosophy and willingness to maintain membership in the Girl Scouts USA
Desired Qualifications
- Sales Experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Bilingual
- Ability to grasp the landscape within an organization, show passion for working with Girl Scouts and the nonprofit environment and expertise in using various communication vehicles that engage girls, volunteers, parents, donors and the community
- Must be experienced in the use of computers
- Possess strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies with ability to understand the basic data quality principles and practice
