Job Summary
Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local businesses, faith groups, and partner organizations to increase visibility and awareness. Coordinate annual donation drives, manage in-kind donation partnerships, and represent the organization at community events, meetings, and workshops. Recruit, onboard, and schedule volunteers while maintaining accurate records and preparing engagement reports. Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, partner with the development committee on logistics and donor cultivation, and assist with post-event follow-up and relationship-building. Requires 40+ hours/week with some evenings and weekends, local travel up to 50%, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in community engagement, volunteer coordination, outreach, nonprofit work, or a similar role
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Volunteer recruitment, training, and support
- Ability to engage diverse communities with cultural awareness and empathy
- Public speaking and group facilitation confidence
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Excellent organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
- Experience supporting event planning and managing logistics
- Strong planning and follow-through skills
- Skilled at keeping projects on track and moving forward smoothly
- Proficiency in: Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Proficiency in: Customer relationship management software (ex. Bloomerang)
- Proficiency in: Analytics
- Proficiency in: Website (ex. WIX)
- Proficiency in: Canva
- Proficiency in: Social media platforms
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, with experience in a related field
- Working in an office environment, from a home office, and/or community-based environment (out in the field)
- May be required to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to safely lift and move objects up to 30 pounds
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation is needed to attend community events
- Local traveling up to 50 percent of work week
