Community Engagement Specialist- East Region (3E)

Job Summary

Coordinate recruitment activities for families and service providers across Collin, Grayson, Fannin, Hunt, Rockwall, Kaufman, Ellis, and Navarro counties. Set up and maintain schedules to facilitate dialogue among partner organizations, foster parents, and stakeholders. Create and distribute marketing materials, support presentations to community groups, and organize trainings related to recruitment and retention. Track progress toward annual and quarterly goals while maintaining confidentiality regarding personnel and client records. Occasional weekend and evening work required; Bachelor's degree and two years of social services or behavioral health experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2+ years relevant administrative experience
  • commensurate combination of relevant experience and education
  • Two years of experience in social services/education and/or behavioral health
  • understanding of the child welfare system
  • ability to comfortably support multiple constituency groups
  • Non-profit or government work experience
  • Demonstrated experience with working in community engagement for a fast-paced, ever-changing organization
  • outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills
  • editorial expertise
  • Proven excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software
  • including Word, Excel, and other MS Office products
  • Occasional work on weekends
  • some evening as necessary
