Job Summary
Recruit, engage, and train volunteers for Cunningham's fundraising and marketing programs while planning and executing in-person and digital events. Build relationships with key volunteers, community partners, and donors to cultivate new partnerships that increase awareness and philanthropic support. Take ownership of volunteer engagement activities, including recruitment, placement, and stewardship, to strengthen community involvement. Represent the agency through tours, presentations, and outreach opportunities as a visible ambassador. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and project management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Fundraising, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- 5+ years in communications, donor relations, sales, public relations, business or a related field
- Illinois Drivers License

- Excellent written, verbal and public speaking communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with diverse audiences
- Proven project, event and volunteer management capabilities
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong time management and budget awareness
- Ability to represent and communicate Cunningham's mission, values and impact effectively
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing interruptions and competing priorities
