Job Summary

Design and execute inclusive public input strategies for residential and commercial developments, including canvassing, stakeholder meetings, and presentations. Build and maintain relationships with local groups, stakeholders, and partners while coordinating speakers for the Livability Speaker Series. Manage fellowship recruitment, curriculum development, and ongoing engagement with fellows. Track proposed and adopted local and state policies related to affordable housing and support policy research and analysis. Drive community turnout for initiatives and aligned policy campaigns. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends with frequent travel to Santa Fe. Primarily office-based with some fieldwork involving moderate physical activity for event setup.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, urban planning, community development) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, policy work, planning, or similar
  • Experience coordinating programs and events
  • Frequent travel to Santa Fe
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed
  • Ability to support event setup involving moderate physical activity (e.g., moving light equipment)

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, written and verbal
  • Familiarity with local organizations, businesses, and stakeholders
  • Experience working with nonprofits or mission-driven organizations
  • Past engagement in community-based research or policy advocacy
