Community Engagement Manager- East Region (3E)

Job Summary
Lead a team of Community Engagement Specialists and Adoption Recruitment Supervisor to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across ten counties in the East Region. Represent Our Community Our Kids with partner organizations and foster parents, facilitating dialogue and problem-solving among diverse constituencies. Coach staff, track progress toward team goals, and coordinate project implementation for the Steering Committee and Ad Hoc Committees. Establish partnerships with community-based providers and Child Placing Agencies for recruitment training while maintaining confidentiality regarding financial and personnel records. Manage a diversified workload requiring independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and execute improvements in organizational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years relevant management experience
- Minimum three years of experience in social services, education, government, or behavioral health
- Ability to navigate comfortably across multiple constituency groups, including individuals from state and local government agencies, foster parents, and community partners within the ten-county region
- Demonstrated experience with working in community relations for a fast-paced, ever-changing organization
- Experience recruiting foster and adoption candidates
- Outstanding writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven track record of teambuilding and people management
- Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (including Word, Excel, other MS Office products)
- Must maintain confidentiality and follow policies related to financial information, personnel records, and client records
- Ability to interact authentically with multiple constituencies from within the community to the boardroom
- Ability to encourage and facilitate dialogue, discussion, and problem solving among interested parties, particularly partner organizations
- Ability to build consensus across various stakeholder groups, i.e., CASA's, Child Welfare Boards, Judicial decision makers
- Ability to lead a team building and nurturing the external and internal critical relationships in each of the counties we serve
- Ability to establish processes to effectively advance the mission of Our Community Our Kids—including foster and adoption parent recruitment
- Ability to successfully establish partnerships with community-based providers and administrative and clinical staff
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize the diversified workload
- Ability to recommend and execute improvements in organizational procedures
- Occasional work on weekends
- Some evening work as necessary
