Job Summary
Transport bananas to designated locations throughout Amazon's campus on an electric bike, pushing the bike up moderate inclines as needed. Provide leadership to two part-time e-Cyclists by training new hires, conducting Banista training, and supporting daily stand openings. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests, handing out free bananas, and solving problems on the spot. Track daily metrics in software for distribution and compost, manage inventory counts for uniforms and assets, and monitor public responses to identify common themes. Assist in daily ordering, ensure bananas are properly organized, and handle delivery or operational issues while troubleshooting solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Commitment to personal and road safety practices

- Ability to perform subtraction, multiplication and division for equations up to 3 digits
- Must be proficient with MS Windows, Excel, and Outlook e-mail
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with leadership, co-workers, and visitors
- Ability to own projects from beginning to end
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to emergencies, angry customers, or other stressful situations in the workplace

- Ability to physically operate electric bicycle riding between Amazon buildings and offsite locations
- Ability to physically push bike up moderate inclines in storage space and on the road
- Ability to comfortably operate electric bicycle on public streets and bike paths in a busy urban environment
- Must be able to lift bananas and stack boxes up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 mile radius
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
- Ability to see both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer
- Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person
- Must be able to stand and/or sit outdoors in all weather conditions above 90 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 to 4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours for the day
- Must be able to handle bananas and/or various food products without allergic reaction
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of customer service experience with roles working with community engagement preferred
- 6 months' experience operating a bicycle in an urban environment preferred
