Community Engagement Director

Job Summary
Lead external outreach to build a diverse donor and supporter pipeline, maintaining a strong presence in community settings (Rotary clubs, chambers of commerce, civic forums) to engage new individuals aligned with the mission. Develop relationships with donors, volunteers, advisors, advocates, and connectors; guide engagement from awareness to investment. Spearhead KNOW Poverty leadership and represent the organization at events, panels, and presentations. Manage Engagement Specialist and Volunteer Specialist; drive accountability and EOS implementation within the unit. Collaborate with Advancement to ensure smooth hand-offs, track engagement activity, and identify opportunities to expand the pipeline while ensuring a high-quality experience for new supporters aligned with the mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in community engagement, relationship based- fundraising, advancement, or external relations
- Proven ability to build new relationships and networks within a community
- Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to engage effectively with executives, civic leaders, donors, and community
- Brillant storyteller who is able to engage various audiences with compelling messaging about CCFW
- Experience translating relationships into tangible organizational outcomes
- Deep commitment to mission driven, community centered- work
