Community Engagement Director

Identify area-wide community relations and engagement priorities; lead the development and execution of strategies that engage the local community, increase brand awareness, and strengthen Advocate Health’s presence within the region. Develop relationships with community partners and leaders to support growth, reputation, awareness, and organizational priorities; activate community sponsorships with Corporate Social Responsibility alignment; place leaders in community-based organization leadership development programs and support their matriculation and future board placement. Develop and execute strategies for engaging system leaders on community boards; liaison between Advocate Health, Government Affairs, and local government entities; ensure councils (hospital and community advisory) are actively engaged in strategic discussions and decision-making; build relationships with key corporations and businesses to support community impact and the organization’s agenda. Requires travel to various Advocate locations and markets, with occasional nights and weekends; strong communication, leadership, and project management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; Bachelor's degree required with 7+ years in relevant fields and 3+ years leading teams.
