Community Engagement Coordinator

Job Summary
Establish REV's presence in key community spaces by building relationships with local nonprofits, chambers, and community leaders to identify engagement opportunities. Collaborate with leaders across Retail, Commercial, Mortgage, Treasury, and Wealth teams to align events and outreach with business growth strategies. Coordinate onsite presence at strategic community and partner events, ensuring relevant staff are looped in for follow-up. Evaluate sponsorship requests for business line alignment and ROI potential, then manage event logistics including signage, staffing, and post-event documentation. Serve as the initial point of contact for businesses and civic leaders, capturing leads and routing inquiries to appropriate internal partners. Monitor local trends to inform community positioning and present high-impact outreach plans to regional leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, business, public relations, or related field (or the equivalent work experience)
- One (1) to Three (3) years in a community engagement, business development, nonprofit outreach, or public-facing financial services role
- Previous experience working with chambers of commerce, economic development groups, or industry associations
- Proven ability to network, build rapport quickly, and speak confidently with diverse audiences
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Project management skills
- Proven passion for community impact with an understanding of business alignment
- Ability to communicate public relations solutions in a simple, actionable way
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed for events and outreach
- Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
- Superior negotiation and volunteer management skills
