Job Summary
The Community Engagement Coordinator will recruit new girl members and adult volunteers, building strong relationships in the community and ensuring a seamless troop experience. This role requires data-driven strategies for recruitment, effective communication, and collaboration with internal teams to establish strong troop leadership. Success is measured by membership growth, strong community partnerships, and timely lead follow-ups. Candidates must have 2-4 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or partnership development
- Experience in membership growth, recruitment, sales, or customer acquisition
- Experience in education, youth-serving nonprofits, or family-facing services
- Experience in relationship-based roles requiring follow-up, persuasion, and trust-building
- Comfort using CRM and data tools (Salesforce, Looker dashboards, Excel, or similar systems)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned geographic area
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to support family availability and community events
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred for assigned geographic areas with high Hispanic/Latino populations
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Must hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law
- Must complete and pass a background check
