Job Summary
Manage data collection and reporting for Community Engagement events using Salesforce and spreadsheets, while assisting in grant management and tracking deliverables, budgets, and expenses. Create and maintain systems supporting team coordination, propose workflow improvements, and develop community-facing materials like training curriculums and policy guides. Coordinate and participate in community events to address needs, deliver Know Your Rights workshops, and manage inventory for material shipments to partners. Some evening and weekend work is expected with a valid driver's license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Strong research and writing skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
- Some evening and weekend work expected
- Valid driver license is preferred
- 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization and/or community-oriented role
- Knowledge of and commitment to social justice, immigrant justice, and New York State's diverse immigrant communities preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or other foreign languages
- Proficiency with office software (e.g. Google Workspace), CRM database systems (e.g. Salesforce), and project management platforms (e.g. Asana)
- Experience using graphic design tools (e.g. Canva) to create public-facing materials like documents, flyers and presentations
