Job Summary
Represent IEHP as a strategic ambassador at community events, health fairs, and public forums across the Inland Empire. Build and execute new engagement strategies tailored to regional needs, cultivating relationships with county officials, CBOs, faith-based organizations, and academic institutions. Design, initiate, and lead community engagement strategies to improve member retention, service utilization, and community trust while collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Quality teams. Maintain subject-matter expertise in Medi-Cal, Medicare, and regulatory requirements to ensure all outreach, sponsorships, and communications remain compliant and audit-ready. Collect and analyze regional member data to refine strategies, coordinate follow-up with clinical teams to address care gaps, and partner with Community Wellness Centers to expand program access. Lead or co-lead regional work groups, manage logistics, and facilitate discussions with diverse stakeholders. This field-based role requires driving throughout the region, working evenings and weekends as needed, and meeting monthly performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of outreach or managed care experience
- Experience in health plan or market/sales services related work
- Bachelor's degree in Human Development, Public Health, Sociology, or any related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience in lieu of the required degree
- Must be able to satisfactorily pass IEHP's Medi-Cal Marketing test within three (3) months of employment
- Must have a valid California Driver's license
- Must have valid automobile insurance
- Must qualify and maintain driving record to drive company vehicles based on IEHP insurance standards of no more than three (3) points
- Ability to drive and travel throughout the entire Inland Empire
- Ability to work evenings and weekends at community events as needed
- Minimum of 60% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medicare managed care and Medi-Cal managed care
- Bilingual (IEHP Threshold Language)
- Verbal and written, word processing, and spreadsheet capabilities. Data input and basic analysis
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, public speaking, and presentations skills with communities of diverse education, socio-economic, cultural, and professional backgrounds
- Organizational ability
- Telephone courtesy and high degree of patience
- Strong problem-solving capability
