Job Summary

As a Community Disaster Program Manager, you will lead and support volunteer teams in disaster cycle services, ensuring communities are prepared to respond to disasters. Responsibilities include developing disaster volunteers and leaders, coordinating community mobilization efforts, and managing disaster relief operations. You must have strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills along with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in social services, a bachelor's degree, and a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean MVR

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience with working with and leading volunteers

  • Ability to work independently

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside in Parker or Johnson County
  • Employees must meet all training and physical capacity requirements for deployment
  • Regional disaster employees are required to deploy to disaster relief operations outside of their region at least once a year
