Community Disaster Program Manager

Job Summary
Lead and support a diverse volunteer team delivering disaster-cycle services across the assigned geographic area; mobilize partners, build disaster leadership volunteers, and engage communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. Role requires deploying to disaster relief operations at least annually, developing volunteer capacity, coordinating with internal partners, and ensuring readiness in mass care, response, preparedness, recovery, and planning activities. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license, are required. Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and program-management skills are essential, along with the ability to work outside regular hours and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams to execute a social services program or service
- Valid Driver’s License REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to interpret program trends and develop improvements; collaboration with diverse groups; project management and leadership experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office
