Community Disaster Program Manager

Job Summary
Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for disaster-cycle services across assigned geographic areas, with responsibilities spanning mass care, response, community preparedness, recovery, and readiness. Develop and deploy disaster-program activities, cultivate disaster leadership volunteers, and engage partners to prepare communities for all-hazards emergencies. Serve as the subject-matter expert on disaster readiness within the region, coordinate with internal partners and frontline organizations, and initiate disaster relief operations as needed. Must have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, collaboration with diverse groups, and program-management abilities are essential. Ability to work outside regular hours, possess a valid driver's license, and deploy to disaster sites at least once annually. This position is resident in Bangor, ME and is not eligible for relocation assistance.
