Job Summary
The Community Director at Whitman College oversees the supervision and development of residential facilities and student life programming. Responsibilities include mentoring Resident Assistants, facilitating community development initiatives, and providing counseling to students. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion while possessing skills in organization, communication, and team-building. A Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience in student affairs are required, with a Master's Degree preferred.

- 2+ years of post-college professional experience
- Experience working with undergraduate residential college communities
- Experience working in Student Affairs

- Experience presenting to groups and leading trainings
- Knowledge of Student Development Theory
- Experience with diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, antiracism, and accessibility programming, theories, or analysis.
